- The Giverny Product Line is produced with premium spruce wood, a wood that is denser than pine and thus allows for better resistance through time. The entire line includes extensor keys, which allows one to tighten the canvas after painting over the long course of time.
- The dimensions of the wood bars varies depending on the overall size of the frame. Sizes 8" x 8" to 24" x 24" - width of 1 1 / 2", depth of 3 / 4". Sizes 30" x 30" to 48" x 48" - width of 1 7 / 8", depth of 1".
- The finish on these stretcher frames is flawless; the ridges are slightly rounded so as to neither cut nor damage the canvas. Moreover, the slant angle on the inside of the frame minimizes the direct contact of the frame with the canvas.
- The stretcher bars, mid bars and cross bars are also equipped with extensor keys, which allows one to re-tighten the canvas throughout its entire surface if and when necessary. The design of our bars guarantees a perfectly stretched frame. You will easily see that your frame is completely straight with perfect angles!
